Brighten Box began with a simple belief: a thoughtfully curated gift can make a meaningful difference in someone’s day.
Each Brighten Box is intentionally designed to bring comfort, spark connection, and remind recipients that they are seen and supported. At its core, Brighten Box exists to encourage positivity through tangible, human moments that feel personal and sincere.
Our mission extends beyond the box itself. Brighten Box is committed to creating positive impact locally and regionally by providing meaningful employment opportunities and supporting community service organizations that align with our values. As we grow, our goal is to contribute to the well-being of our employees, our partners, and the communities we serve.
We also recognize that many people today are navigating overwhelming challenges, often quietly. A Brighten Box is not meant to solve life’s hardest moments, but it can offer a pause. A reminder. A small but powerful signal that someone cares.

We will make every effort to ensure that boxes are delivered in a timely and accurate manner. If ever our delivery does not meet the needs of customers, we will do our best to make things right.

We promise that our designs will be uplifting and encouraging. Just the thought, sight of, and quality of the box and products will lift the mood of the recipients.

Meet The Team

Felicia earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Michigan State University as well as grants/grants management certifications through the Grantsmanship Center, Saginaw Valley State University, The Allstate Foundation, Arizona State University, and other courses. Felicia also serves on the boards of the Dr. Eugene and Joyce Seals Family Foundation in Saginaw, Michigan, ComConnect Foundation in South Bend, Indiana, Steering Committee for Bridges Michiana, and The Indiana Black Expo. She is the mother of four young men, grandmother of three (so far), and wife to Michael Buchanan for 30 years.
